Nienke van der Moleh is daughter of Klaas van der Molen. Her father was employed at the headquarters of the Deli Company in Medan. Nienke herself attended the Oranjeschool for five years and then studied for one year at HBS.

Connection with Deli

Nienke van der Molen is the daughter of Ir. Klaas van der Molen and Trijntje Dijkstra. Her father worked at the headquarters of the Deli Company in Medan from 1948 to 1956. The dissertation in the archive was written by her father to obtain the title of Delft Engineer.

Additional Information

Alongside her father’s dissertation, the archive contains childhood memories, poetry albums, photographs, and various other documents. The original dissertation was officially handed over to Stichting BWS in Medan in January 2025.
